I've used it for over a year now, and it's been fantastic.

You should go see the video that explains the security on Mint, done by the Founder/CEO. http://www.mint.com/privacy/

Re: How Does Mint.com Make Money?

Hey Josh, this is Francis from high school. I was searching for articles on whether Mint.com can be trusted with my bank account info and was pleasantly surprised that it led me here. So have you figured out how Mint makes money? And would you say Mint can be trusted?

Re: How Does Mint.com Make Money?

I think I may need to do another post on Mint.com. There has to be more earning potential if investors got involved so early in development. Investors are all about bottom line not just for the improvement of life (ideally a combination of the two though). So any new feedback on how they make money? Seems like it could be converted to a pay service at some point...once we are all dependent on them.

Re: How Does Mint.com Make Money?

Looks like the site is picking up traction. The referral program is all I could see (credit card offers, etc)? I presume you may offer some premium features down the line?

I LOVE the site btw. You owe your web developers a big bonus because it is one of the prettiest sites I have seen of late.

Re: How Does Mint.com Make Money?

So how do you make money (directed at Aaron - whom I assume works at mint)? We had a few thousand people try to add many thousands of accounts in a two hour period...we may have overwhelmed a few banks that we link to.

Things should be back up and running right now...but we're getting a lot more traction (great) than I imagined so things may be a little slower than usual today and tomorrow.

Re: How Does Mint.com Make Money?

Hey Josh, sorry you couldn't add your accounts today.
